Hi everyone, hope you are having a great start to your 2022. This is the first post for One Coding Club, and it is humbly a surreal experience to finally deliver a post to get this community started. I founded this community for the sole purpose to connect with other like minded individuals who are into coding and entrepreneurship.

With Covid-19 still rampant around the world, I personally felt disconnected with many people as I was a regular attendee to many of the in-person networking events that used to occur. That experience is a long distant memory now, and it seems we are more isolated than ever. Despite this, we are experiencing one of the biggest shifts in the ways we work and that is the ability to work from home.

Working from home as taught me that it is completely possible to provide your skills to an organisation from anywhere in the world (I'm speaking from a coders perspective). We are not bound to a location, and we can continually provide value from the comfort from our own home.

The ability to work from home has given me a new perspective about work in general. That is it is no longer required that we need to hold onto a single 9 to 5 job, and instead we can live within our means and build something for ourselves. The reason for this thinking was because the perks of being in an office no longer existed, we lacked collaboration and most of the time we work in our own environment which leads me to believe that we are capable of building something for ourselves.

Which leads me back to the reasons for me to start this community, as I learn more about entrepreneurship as a coder I will be sharing this journey with the hope it inspires more individuals to participate and connect.

Thankyou for visiting, and I hope you stick around.
